Sony Xperia Acro S: Running On Ice Cream Sandwich OS

Building on the success of Xperia Acro HD, the latest Sony Xperia Acro S boasts semi-rugged characteristics and top notch specs. Despite shock proofing being omitted from the ruggedness specs, the smartphones is also dust proof and water proof. On top of being water proof, this handset is also responsive when used the touchscreen under the rain. This phone measures 126 x 66 x 11.9 mm and weighs 147 grams. Sony Xperia Acro S will be available in three colors (black, white and pink) beginning third quarter of 2012.

The specs list include 4.3-inch Reality Display (1280 x 720 resolution), a 12.0 megapixel rear camera (with pulsed LED flash and 1080p video recording), a front-facing video cam, aGPS, HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth, DLNA, NFC,16GB of internal storage, microSD card support (up to 32GB) and a 1,910mAh battery module. A dual core 1.5GHz processor combined with 1GB of RAM powers this smartphone. Xperia Acro S runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and comes equipped with the Sony’s usual software enhancements such as Sony Bravia Mobile Engine, xLOUD Entertainment, digital surround sound and more.
