Samsung Electronics released the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, a slimmed down version of its flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone yesterday. The main objective of this smartphone is to provide customer choices with a similar look and feel to the Galaxy S4 but for more compact and practical usage. The full-sized S4 which is Samsung’s fastest selling smartphone to date, has 5in HD screen. Designed to tap the mid-range market, Galaxy S4 Mini has scaled down to 4.3in display and weighs only 107g, allowing easy access to pocket as well as operating with one hand.
The arrival of S4 mini inherits the pattern for Samsung to release variations of its top phones at different price points in order to target budget-conscious customers. Powered by 1.7GHz dual core processor, the S4 Mini also sports an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and 1.9 megapixel HD front-facing camera. With the launch, Samsung hopes the S4 will expand its presence worldwide, providing Apple and its iconic iPhone a run for its money. At the moment, Samsung has not yet announced Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini’s price or launch date.
