{image1}

The HTC HD2 is a sequel to the HTC Touch HD. The major features of the HTC HD2 are similar to its previous model but only with a few minor changes. This phone has a massive touch screen measuring 4.3 inches which is much larger than the 3.8 inches in the HTC Touch HD. Apart from that the other major difference is that the mini USB connector has now been replaced by a micro USB connector. Other than these two major features, the other ones remain pretty much the same. The design is also quite similar as both the phones almost alike with the exception of the HTC HD2 having a larger screen. Another point of difference between the HTC HD2 and the earlier similar models is that it uses an updated version of Windows Mobile 6.5.

The huge touch screen is the feature that mesmerizes all of us. The tactile response is great making using the phone a rather pleasing experience. The screen is also WVGA screen and not a QVGA one like the previous handsets making the images as sharp as a tack and the colors as vibrant as you see in no other phone of its category. The phone although power packed with features is not bulky and weighty. It is sleek and stylish and a great asset that you can show off to all your friends. The phone is a great option for business users as well as personal users. You can easily perform all your business functions with ease with the HTC HD2 as well as perform all your leisurely activities like watching movies as simply. Watching movies is a pleasure on this phone because of its large screen and great resolution.

The phone also has a 5 mega pixel camera that takes great pictures during the day but has no flash which is a major disappointment. Nowadays, when even the most simplest of phones have a flash incorporated in the, this is a point that should have been taken into account while chalking out the design for the phone. The other features include a great web browser and the facility of sending and receiving attachments via emails. In addition to all this, the HTC HD2 also has a FM Radio and is GPS enabled which making tracking and locating destinations and your friends very simple. The phone also supports Wi-Fi connectivity and offers great internet speed of up to 7.2 Mbps using the 3G support which is very impressive. The internal memory capacity is also pretty large at 512 MB and can be easily expanded up to a whopping 8 GB using the micro SD slot.

Overall the HTC HD2 is a great phone which has lots of great features that are both essential and useful. The touch pad is also very good and responds extremely well which is what a touch phone should essentially offer. The set of applications have been put together well and the phone is sure to be a delight to all users.

1 Vote(s)

{image1}

Samsung Mythic has been named aptly as it could only exist in myths a few years ago. The phone boasts all the latest technologies packaged in a smart bundle. The phone, although of block form factor, is indeed quite a looker. It sports a large screen of 3.3 inch, which is fully touchscreen. It has a host of widgets making online life on the move a breeze. As of now, the phone is available bundled with AT&T network only. Not only does it have internet capabilities, it also serves as a decent mobile TV. At present, AT&T offers Comedy Central, CBS, MTV, ESPN, FOX, NBC and many other channels.

The navigation between apps and websites is quick and easy thanks to Samsung's Touch Wiz user interface. It comes preloaded with software apps like AT&T navigator, AT&T Social Net etc. The home screen scrolls left and right to for accessing additional phone application using touch navigation. One of the most important features is that it comes with AT&T's modified Opera browser. It gives you three windows to surf the internet. You can view the World Wide Web in one window; get information about places of interest nearby, maps, traffic alerts, driving directions on the other; and headlines from popular news, sports and entertainment websites on the third.

The Mythic is a good addition to the Samsung's enviable lineup of smart phones. The block form factor is targeted towards the people who dislike the clamshell ones. Among technical features, it has a full bag. The screen is TFT with 262K colors. It has an mp3 player and an expandable memory using microSD or TransFlash memory cards. The PC Sync is available with USB 2.0 specifications. The default web browser is Opera 2.0 and also has GPS navigation provided by AT&T Navigator. As with all the mid and high end phones, it has a speaker phone.

The touch screen user interface might need a little getting used to for people habituated to using actual keyboards. The touch screen keyboard is the only option for typing on the Mythic as it does not have a real keyboard. But once you get used to it, you start to find it much more convenient to use than the normal keyboards. The Samsung Touch Wiz user interface, also seen on some other Samsung phones gives a quick access to your favorite websites such as YouTube and Facebook. If it were not for the Samsung Touch Wiz user interface, the phone could have tuned out to be a drab, but the user interface makes it a really competent phone.

Because of the rich colors, watching web TV is a lot of fun on the Mythic. It can store many video clips, pictures and games due to the expandable memory. This makes the phone very useful not only to business professionals who want to keep abreast of stock updates etc, but also for those who want a smart phone just for entertainment. The Samsung Mythic operates on GSM and UTMS networks.

1 Vote(s)

{image1}

One of the most stylish of smart phones, the Samsung Flight is a next generation phone with a vertical sliding form factor. It features both: a one hand operable touch screen as well as a full physical keyboard that slides underneath the screen. The styling is the USP of the phone. However, the styling is with the purpose of making texting possible using just one hand. It has a subtle ridge at the back and has a textured design. What makes the user interface unique is the one touch access to many functions including shortcuts, messaging and favorites. The phone comes in a red and a silver color.

The phone is available only with AT&T at the present. It features AT&T's modified Opera browser that gives three windows to surf the internet. The first window is for normal web surfing, bookmarking; the second one gives an access to important information like places of interest nearby, driving directions and also traffic alerts; the third window delivers news and headlines from popular news, entertainment ans sports websites. The web surfing experience is rich thanks the Opera browser that comes preloaded. Also, some useful apps such as those that give a direct access to Facebook and Youtube also come preloaded.

The handset operates on GSM networks 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900. It has an mp3 player like any phone belonging to this category. The memory is expandable with microSD/ TransFlash memory cards, meaning you can store lots of songs in the phone and also videos, games, pictures, applications etc. It has 3G connectivity for fast web access. It also features a 2 megapixel camera and coupled with a 240 X 320 pixel TFT screen supporting 262K colors, it is a nice device for shooting as well as viewing pictures. It supports Stereo Bluetooth and uses micro USB for synchronization with computer. Along with touchscreen, it has a sliding physical keyboard that hides beneath the screen.

Samsung Flight is basically a message-centric handset. The design and the presence of a sliding physical keyboard emphasize this fact. This is a good news for people who dislike full touchscreen phones, they will find this phone, with a real keyboard, much more comfortable.

The Samsung Flight is a messaging-centric phone that sports both a touchscreen and a vertical-sliding QWERTY keyboard. It also has a 2-megapixel camera, Stereo Bluetooth, microSD card slot and 3G support for fast access to the web. The user interface makes this phone quite like a computer. With the facility of capturing photos and sharing them instantly with friends and family, one touch access to social networking, video sharing and other websites, it is a substitute for a computer while on the move.

Samsung Flight is intended for the audience who require to be online at all times.
{image1}

We've been waiting for months for Verizon to finally unveil the latest in the line of LG Chocolate phones, and it's here at last. The LG Chocolate Touch VX8575 is officially available today, making it the first touch-screen version of the Chocolate phone lineup. As we suspected, it's very different from the LG BL40 and looks a lot more like the other LG touch-screen handsets we've seen, like the LG Dare for example.

The Chocolate Touch continues the Chocolate tradition of music-specialized phones, with music features like the Dolby Mobile equalizer, an FM radio, integrated song ID, stereo Bluetooth, and even a unique "Join the Band" feature that lets you play around with a full drum kit and a scrolling 88-key keyboard. Other features include quick access to social networks like Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace, EV-DO Rev. 0, a full HTML browser, and a 3.2-megapixel camera with settings like intelligent shot (for improved quality) and panorama shot (for three guided sequential shots).

The phone is available now for $79.99 with a $50 mail-in rebate and a new two-year agreement.
{image1}

We've heard a few whispers about Sony Ericsson's Satio successor, the Kurara, and off the back of a few new leaked images, we also have some new spec information.

The Kurara was rumoured to feature an HD video camera, and that's now looking to be true, with GSM Arena suggesting it'll offer 720p recording, the same as Samsung's i8910HD.

It's also thought the Kurara, while being notably more compact than the Satio, will share the same processor, memory and Symbian S60 UI as its predecessor, but will pack a smaller touchscreen at 3.2 inches and a longer battery life.

Other specs include Wi-fi and 3G connectivity, built-in GPS and a microSD card slot, as well as a 3.5mm jack replacing Sony Ericsson's prorpietary FastPort. Hurrah!

We'll need to take all these specs with a certain pinch of salt from the rumour mill for now, but we'll of course keep you updated with everything we hear. With Sony Ericsson expected to show this phone off at Mobile World Congress early next year, we expect there'll be plenty more leaks before then.

1 Vote(s)

{image1}

Motorola Droid has a very difficult life ahead. It only has born and is already up against the iPhone 3g. With even the mobile phone market working on the principle of ‘survival of the fittest', let us see how the Droid fares against the market giant iPhone 3g.

Let me put all the speculations regarding Droid to rest by stating it plainly and clearly that the Droid is better than the iPhone 3g. It has a bigger screen, a real keyboard, a faster processor and the latest Google OS. Technically, the Droid is far ahead of the Apple iPhone. Will this translate into better sales? That will remain to be seen, but for the meanwhile let us dissect the phones and see why exactly dos the Droid score over the iPhone.

Thing is, nowadays the mobile phones are used more for running applications than actually talking. There are thousands of applications available online that you can run on your phone. So, you might be listening to the music on your phone while watching pictures, with some application getting updated in the background, if you have a Droid. You can't do this if you own an iPhone 3g. Droid can multi task, iPhone can't!

The application development world is moving towards Open Source. Droid has an open source platform for application. This means, there can be many-many applications available for the Droid. The iPhone remains ancient by being a closed source platform. So you can customize, get widgets and all those goodies, on the Droid and not on iPhone.

One of the biggest problems with an iPhone 3g is that it doesn't have a real physical keyboard. A touch screen keyboard is not nearly as comfortable to use or even durable as a physical keyboard. This is the reason people at Motorola equipped the Droid with a sliding fort touch physical keyboard. Typing SMS, emails on the Droid is very comfy.

What is the use of having a camera enabled phone if it can only take pictures at the time of the day? When the lighting conditions are not suitable, the iPhone 3g is only as good as having a phone without camera. Not so with the droid. It takes great pictures even at night.

There are many nice touches that have been added to droid that are missing in most other phones, especially in the iPhone 3g. For instance, Droid has interchangeable batteries, iPhone 3g doesn't. It is the attention to details on the part of makers of the Droid, that it has made Droid a much better phone than its nearest competitor - the iPhone.

One area where the iPhone has a slight edge is the multimedia. Because of the Apple platform, the syncing, music or video downloading is very nice and easy on the iPhone. You get so many podcasts on iTunes store that it becomes tough for other phones to challenge it. The Droid does have nice multimedia set up though, if not as good as the iPhone. It comes with a desktop cradle that charges the phone and also turns into a multimedia station. This might not be as good as the iPhone - iTunes combo, but is quite good in its own right.

The Droid scores higher points in every technical department when compared to the iPhone 3g. It is faster, has a bigger screen and unlike the iPhone it can take pictures in the dark. This makes the Droid the real iPhone killer. It will be interesting to see how it will sell when people realize the Droid is better than the iPhone 3g.

1 Vote(s)

The makers have come up with a slim and stylish design for the phone that makes it a style statement for whoever carries it. The sleek black body with the colorful 320 x 240 pixel screen is a delight for all users. In addition to that, the Nokia E71x is not at all bulky in spite of all the features that it packs. In fact, it has dimensions of 114 x 57 x 10 mm and weighs a mere 126 grams. So in spite of being so power packed with brilliant features it is extremely easy for you to carry the Nokia E71x around. It easily fits into the chains of your bag and the pockets of your trousers.

The features of this phone are many and are pretty impressive too. The screen color depth is 24 bit which provides clear and sharp images on the screen. The resolution of the screen also makes for better clarity of images on the large screen. The QWERTY keyboard is very well designed and is spacious and offers lots of room for easy typing. The keyboard also enables you to enter text pretty simply because of the eZi type predictive text entry that not only includes intelligent entry but also includes the function of auto completion as well. In addition to the soft keys that it has, the Nokia E71x also has a navigator 5 way key which makes navigating through the phone a breeze. The best part about the phone is that it supports both GSM as well as WCDMA frequency bands which is a great relief for all those frustrated with their over expensive GSM phones and their less functional CDMA ones.

The Nokia E71x has 3.2 mega pixels camera which takes pretty decent pictures. The camera also comes with a 4x zoom. The camera also has a built in flash and a function to reduce red eyes which can come in handy in many situations. In addition to that, the video recorder is also quite good and lets you take stable videos even in jerky situations. The internal memory is 120 MB although the memory is expandable to up to 8 GB with a micro SD card. Sending emails with the Nokia E71x is also an easy job. The email features are very user friendly and you can use to the way it operates pretty soon.

The GSM talk time lasts up to 5 hours whereas the WCDMA talk time, up to 4.5 hours. The standby time is quite impressive with the GSM maxing at 12 days and the WCDMA at 14 days. The music playback time is a whopping 20 hours. Overall, the Nokia E71x is a great phone that was released on 31st March, 2009. It is a must buy for all those of you looking for a stylish phone with great functionality. What's more? The Nokia E71x has lots to offer to business users as well.

1 Vote(s)

The sleek and slim and the shiny black exterior make it a pleasure to carry around. The large touch screen with the attractive features that it has to offer, makes using the phone a pleasure. In spite of being so power packed the phone lightweight and portable and is not bulky at all. The dimensions of the Nokia N97 Mini are 114 x 52.5 x 14.2 mm. the weight is also pretty negligible for a phone at just 138 grams.

The large touch screen with a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels and a screen color depth of 24 bit makes viewing pictures and operating the device pleasing to the eye. There are two input methods including a touch screen and a slide out QWERTY keyboard. The keyboard is convenient and ca be used very comfortably. In addition to that, the Nokia N97 Mini supports both GSM and WCDMA frequency bands. The connectivity on the Nokia N97 Mini is great and so is the battery back up. The range of applications that the phone supports is vast and includes an accelerometer as well. A vital part of the applications the music store which is probably the most impressive feature of the phone. In addition to that, there is also a compass and the usual Nokia Maps 2.0. These are the features that make this phone a success among all users. The internal memory is 512 MB which can be expanded to 8 GB with a micro SD slot.

The most convenient feature of this phone is the USB charger. This means that you don't have an extra wire to take care of while storing or travelling. The battery back up, as mentioned earlier is great. The GSM talk time can last up to 7.1 hours whereas the WCDMA lasts as long as 5 hours. The standby time for both GSM and WCDMA is a whopping 13 days which is more than enough for almost all users. The video playback time is 3.5 hours whereas the music playback time is an unbelievable 28 hours. Overall the device has received applauds from almost all reviewers. The features and the looks, both are mid blowing. The functionality of the phone is great and so is the call and loudspeaker clarity which is very important and is the primary function of a phone. All in all, this is a great phone to invest in and is a combination of the best features that Nokia has to offer. So don't hesitate and make the Nokia N97 Min your own as soon as possible.

1 Vote(s)

{image1}
LG Arena is one of the better smart phones, equipped with the latest features, released this year. LG has always produced some great mobiles in the past and is continuing the race for the best touch screen mobile by releasing this mobile. LG Arena, clearly one of the better mobiles from LG, is jam packed with features and is designed to perfection. Going by the look and the feel of the mobile, it has a large touch screen display offering a resolution of 480x800 pixels. The glossiness and the rich display of this mobile is what can please your eyes a lot. The screen is highly responsive and full of vibrant colors. The size of this mobile is 106 x 55 x 12 mm and it weighs around 105 grams only.

One of the main features of this mobile is its camera. LG Arena has a great 5 mega pixel camera which never needs to compromise with the photo quality. It offers impeccable resolution and clarity while capturing images and runs absolutely fine in high resolution while watching videos. It also offers a host of other features related to the camera like 4 X digital zooming option, LED photo light, video recording etc. The multimedia features of LG Arena are also fabulous as the music player will give you perfect quality music. FM radio is also in built in this mobile.

The battery of LG Arena is quite good as compared to other smart phones in different categories across the globe. LG Arena offers a talk time of 230 minutes and a standby time of about 300 hours. Yes, improvement could have been made in this area but if the mobile gives you tons of features, you don't expect it to run for weeks. For connectivity purpose, LG Arena is quite fast as it has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity and a GPS receiver as well. The connectivity is not blazing fast but can work fine if you are a bit patient. Among some of the other features, this mobile offers geo tagging of photos, speaker phone of good quality, voice recording option, has room for expandable memory up to 32 GB of space, 3G HSDPA technology, autofocus, video recording with DivX player and other features.

Thus, to sum up, LG arena is surely a great mobile to own. It may seem a bit pricy though. However, with the features this mobile if offering and with the cool design of the mobile, it would be wise to call this mobile as a great smart phone at competitive price. LG Arena has been released just recently and ever since its release it has generated a lot of buzz and the users of this great mobile are very happy with this mobile. LG Arena is surely an all rounder when it comes to balancing features with looks and design. All you need to do id to grab an LG Arena today and enjoy the features.

1 Vote(s)

{image1}

Sony Ericsson today officially launched their new Sony Ericssn Jalou Dolce & Gabbana edition phone, with a new campaign to highlight the phone's fashion sensibilities. By itself, the S/E Jalou isn't much to look at. It's a very small flip phone, only 73mm long, which Sony Ericsson helpfully points out is probably shorter than your favorite lipstick. The 3G-enabled flip phone gets a fairly average assortment of modern features, including a 3.2-megapixel camera with geo tagging, but no auto focus function. Perhaps Sony Ericsson thinks you'll prefer your home fashion shoot a little blurry? The Jalou also sports an FM radio, and the phone will be able to synchronize with an Exchange ActiveSync account, a surprisingly business-like feature for this fashionable little device.

1 Vote(s)

{image1}
Japanese -Swedish mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson has been rumored quite a few times before to plan on launching on the market an XPERIA model that would run under Google's Android operating system, the XPERIA X3 Rachael handset, and it seems that we're getting closer and closer each day to the official announcement of the device.

SEMCblog is reporting that the handset vendor will officially announce the availability of XPERIA X3 next month, most probably at the beginning of November, it seems, and that all the goodies that have been previously rumored to come with the phone will be there, including the Android 2.0 flavor of the OS, and the Qualcomm 1Ghz Snapdragon processor (it will be the second Android device to include the chipset, following the recently announced Acer Liquid smartphone).

"So-welcome announcement from Sony Ericsson will be in early November. It will be announcement of great smartphone which has harmonious codename Rachael. As you may know, Sony Ericsson Rachael is Android-based device which has 4.0″ WVGA touchscreen. The device has chipset Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon 1 GHz. And, of course, Rachael has a 8.1 megapixel camera with auto focus, 3.5 mm audio jack and standard micro-USB connector. Sony Ericsson Rachael will be available in two beautiful colours: Sensuous Black and Luster White," the blog notes.

No details on the exact availability of the phone emerged, yet one might already remember that the Android-powered Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3 was said to hit the market sometime in January 2010. The phone has been already reported to come with its own user interface thrown over Google's platform, so one should expect for an interesting user experience to come along with this device. Considering the specification list of the handset, this enhanced experience is something guaranteed, though we're also certain that it won't come cheap. Hopefully, this will pan out and we'll be able to learn more info on the device, so stick around for the details.

1 Vote(s)

{image1_280x280}
The Motorola Karma QA1 keeps the conversation going with multiple ways to stay connected on your terms. IM-style texting with an all-in-one view of messages and easy scroll navigation helps you keep track of conversations and stay organized. Take your social status to the next level by sending instant messages to multiple friends at once using popular services like Yahoo! Messenger and Windows Live Messenger. Social networking addicts can add Facebook and MySpace quick launch icons to the home screen for one-click access, and updating your status, sharing a comment or posting pictures and video from the Karma's built-in camera is a breeze.

The 2-megapixel camera on the back includes an LED flash and offers video capture capabilities. The phone has a 2.5-inch LCD screen with a 320 x 240-pixel resolution and excellent 262K color depth--great for reviewing photos before uploading. The face has a 4-way navigation pad with center select key that's surrounded by send/end keys, soft navigation keys, a back button and a dedicated messaging button. The face then smoothly slides up to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. The phone has a 100 MB user accessible memory, which can be expanded via optional MicroSD memory cards (up to 16 GB in size). The internal phonebook supports multiple phone numbers per contact and supports caller groups as well as picture/ringer ID.

This Motorola phone includes the innovative CrystalTalk technology, which automatically accounts for background noise during a call and adjusts the audio quality based on ambient noise conditions to provide the optimal conversational experience. CrystalTalk also reduces the volume of the background noise picked up by the microphone during a call, making it possible to be more easily heard over the phone while in a noisy environment.

Handsfree communication is easy thanks to the integrated speakerphone.
{image1}
As Samsung made an impressive showing at the GSMA World Congress it's difficult to pick one of its new phones as the most notable. Yet, the company's Omnia HD certainly would be in the running. We had the opportunity to check it out while visiting with Samsung in Barcelona, Spain. Though the Omnia HD is the next-generation model of the existing Omnia, it shows a few design differences. The curved ends give it a more eye-catching, aerodynamic look. It's also slightly bigger than its predecessor is, but we'll gladly take the extra heft with the stunning 2.7-inch 3.7-inch, 16 million-color display. In all ways, it's bright and beautiful--colors were vibrant, graphics were sharp and video lives up the HD name.

The display uses Samsung's TouchWiz interface with a customizable widget bar on the left side. The touch interface for both finger swiping and selecting icons was responsive and the Symbian interface is intuitive. The display works in landscape and includes an accelerometer for certain functions like the virtual QWERTY keyboard. Speaking of which, the keyboard is very comfortable, thanks to the display's large size. We had no problems tapping away.

The three physical controls below the display include Talk and End/power button; they're rather thin, but we didn't find them to be problematic. There's a single VGA camera lens above the display for video calling while the main lens for the 8-megapixel shooter is located on the rear. It has a flash but no sliding lens cover. Other exterior controls include a volume rocker on the left spine and a camera shutter, a screen lock control and a Micro-USB port on the right spine. The headset jack is located conveniently on the top of the device, but the memory card slot is behind the battery cover.

Features include HSDPA 3G support an 8-megapixel camera, an FM radio, assisted-GPS, Bluetooth, a music player, organizer applications, a speakerphone, and Wi-Fi.

1 Vote(s)

Since the N97 arrives with 32GB internal flash memory, you don’t need to worry about storing your favorite music collections and that high memory consuming videos that you record with this amazing gadget. In addition, this highly sophisticated handset also features Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS, and Bluetooth. Most importantly, there is a 5MP camera integrated in this handset.

The 5MP camera that arrives in-built with N97 is the same camera that has been kept in the earlier version of the N series, N96. The world renowned Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens has been used in this camera. Additionally, the camera features auto focus, dual-LED flash, and up to 4x digital zoom that helps you to capture each and every memorable moment of your life just with a few clicks. There are several other advanced camera options, including light sensitivity, exposure, color tone, and geotagging. This smart phone records videos in MPEG-4 format at 30fps. Once you capture your desired photos with the N97, it’s possible for you to add tags, and share them with your friends and everyone else in your touch via MMS or e-mail or whatever it works. Also, you can watch them in slide slows as well as upload them to any of the popular services, such as Ovi or Flickr.

The battery backup that Nokia N97 features is pretty impressive as it offers 400 hours of standby time. Besides, the FM radio and the digital music player also arrive with Nokia N97. With the N97 media player, you can play a ton of music files at ease. Additionally, the Bluetooth makes your music experience much better. Since the N97 arrives with in-built Wi-Fi, you can download the files from the Internet as quickly as possible.

Despite the QWERTY keyboard and touch screen display, the user interface of N97 is not integrated so wisely and is quite confusing and inconsistent, compared to other similar smart phones out there.
In the nutshell, although the Nokia N97 arrives with tons of features, its huge price tag, not so good user interface and outdated OS make it pretty bad option compared to other better touch screen phones available in the market.

1 Vote(s)

{image1}
Samsung has been built for greatness, and for some reason, they love to enhance the way designers are made to develop enhanced technology in which models are designed for greatness, and more importantly, the marketing strategy on which they must target to build and attract more customers to buy their phones in any mobile phone stores or in malls worldwide. Today, another amazing phone was born, and it will be a great competitor to other types of models in its respective brand and other rival companies like Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Alcatel and other phone brands, and the one we’re talking about is the all-new Samsung Pixon 12.

Can anybody tell why is it called Samsung Pixon 12? You may wonder why Samsung definitely named this kind of amazing phone. There is one main reason. Samsung Pixon 12 is professionally designed to be the first ever phone, with 12 MP digicam, to be created which no other company had ever done this before. It is going to be a spectacular phone which has an amazing unique feature, which Samsung Pixon 12 guarantees you nothing at all except in which they have the largest file sizes in the industry, which is complemented by decent specs that starts with an FM radio, 3G features, and a 3.1 inch AMOLED touchscreen.

Its internal storage is a huge 150 MB that could store up to a thousand pictures you ever stored, but there’s a disadvantage, which in this stage for a camera-centric phone, it is glaringly weak when it releases to the big market. However, it can be bundled with SD cards that are compatible to this phone, but it is not yet necessary for now. Customers are just relying on the quality of this phone, and that’s what Samsung Pixon 12 really does have good quality, enhanced features and easy to handle. Its shooting speed is much quicker than the average digicam, which clocks at about two seconds per shot. It also has an amazing feature which is the touch autofocus, which allows the user to choose a focal point by pointing your finger in the targeted menu, and the result will be, the camera will now focus on its subject automatically. The superstar feature of this amazing phone is the flash-equipped camera itself. You know why? It is the main feature that with the 12 MP, capturing quality moments is what we’re relying on.

For some years, camera has evolved in the quality of shooting and capturing moments, when it was invented in the late 19th century only thing is that, color is not present in that era, until in the late 70’s or 80’s, it develops color, but sad to say, quality is not yet good, until now, we find ways to enhance good quality of our pictures in order to develop and post it in our photo albums, in which we need digicam for that. Why don’t we say let’s move to a device which you need 100% quality of your camera shots and also improved communication in one place? If we think that this is what we need, then Samsung Pixon 12 is the right one to buy and own.

1 Vote(s)

{image1}
If you're not willing to shell out $300 for a phone running Windows 6.5, check out the Samsung Intrepid on Sprint. If the Intrepid looks familiar, it's because the Intrepid is the successor to the Samsung Ace, which the Intrepid will replace on Sprint. The Intrepid sports a 2.5-inch touchscreen with a full QWERTY keyboard below it. One of its biggest draws for business customers is its support for international roaming. It also supports stereo Bluetooth, and has Wi-Fi connectivity and a 3.2-megapixel camera with video recording.

The Intrepid is the first Windows phone to support Microsoft's TellMe service for voice dialing and texting, which my colleague Jared Newman found to work quite well. It also comes loaded with Sprint Navigation, Microsoft Office Mobile, and the Smart Read business card scanner. The Intrepid is now available from Sprint for $150 with a two-year contract.

1 Vote(s)

{image1}
Local electronics makers are locked in a competition to create the perfect premium smart phone - and it's about to get even fiercer. Italian luxury brand Giorgio Armani teamed up with Samsung Electronics to launch the new GT-V7650 smart phone in Milan Friday.

Three companies [Samsung Electronics, Giorgio Armani, Microsoft] which each represent their respective industry have met to create the ultimate smart phone with an innovative design, cutting-edge technology and the most recent software, said Hong Won-pyo, vice president of Samsung Electronics™ product strategy division.

The rose bronze-colored smart phone, one of the first mobile devices to be powered by Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5, has wireless Internet connectivity and was designed by Giorgio Armani himself. It also includes GPS and camera functions.

This is Samsung's third collaboration with the fashion brand. The first Giorgio Armani-Samsung phone was launched in 2007, followed by the Emporio Armani-Samsung phone called "Night Effect" last year. The three Armani-Samsung handsets have not launched in Korea yet, but Samsung said that they will bring the new edition in the local market this month.

And just in time, since the high-end designer phone trend has been gaining speed here over recent months. Last month, Pantech, Korea's third-largest mobile phone manufacturer after Samsung and LG Electronics, launched a touch screen phone with French luxury pen company Dupont priced in the 800,000 won ($687) range. The IM-U510LE model targets professional men over the age of 30 who subscribe to 2G network service through SK Telecom. The handset includes the original S.T. Dupont logo on its front and is decorated in 18-karat gold. Pantech said that it might consider launching the phone overseas if it is well received in Korea.

Perhaps Samsung's biggest competition in this field is LG's Prada phone. LG Electronics has also been collaborating with luxury Italian fashion house Prada in launching its Prada and Prada 2 phones. This second version launched in Korea in June at a retail price of 1.8 million won.

1 Vote(s)

{image1}
The attractive HTC Pure improves significantly on its predecessor, the Touch Diamond, with better specs, a more sophisticated design, and new features supported by Windows Mobile 6.5. The Pure's design is minimalist and sophisticated with only a few hardware buttons and no physical keyboard. A gorgeous 3.2-inch WVGA touchscreen with 800-by-480-pixel resolution dominates the face of the phone.

The HTC Pure runs Windows Mobile 6.5 with HTC's TouchFLO 3D interface overlay. Unfortunately, the phone is lacking in multimedia features while retaining WinMo's trademark sluggishness in certain applications. I was impressed, however, with the Pure's 5-megapixel camera, which snapped great-looking images both indoors and outdoors. At $150 with a two-year contract from AT&T, the HTC Pure is a good deal considering all the features you get. If you're looking for something a little more entertainment-oriented from AT&T, however, you might want to go with the $100 iPhone 3G.

1 Vote(s)

{image1}
The Cliq was announced a few weeks before CTIA, and we saw a lot of this intriguing handset at the show. While I used the Cliq only briefly, I already knew that I liked its design best out of all the Android phones. Like the Samsung Moment, it has a keyboard and a touchscreen. A physical keyboard is necessary, as the native touch keyboard on the current version of Android is far from perfect (as we found out in our review of the T-Mobile myTouch and the HTC Hero). I got some more hands-on time with the Cliq at CTIA and loved the keyboard’s ergonomics and bubble-like keys.

The Motorola Cliq will also be the first phone to showcase MOTOBLUR, Motorola's skin for Android. In my quick hands-on tests, I found the MOTOBLUR interface to be clean, intuitive, and responsive. MOTOBLUR has a lot of cool features, such as a Happenings widget that gives you instant access to your social networks from the home screen. It also aggregates all your contacts and their information from various sources and displays them in one seamless client. The Cliq will be available later this fall from T-Mobile and will cost $200 with a two-year contract.

1 Vote(s)

{image1}
As far as business-oriented handsets go, the HTC Tilt 2 is a solid pick. This eye-catching smartphone has one of the best full-QWERTY keyboards I’ve ever used. Button placement is intuitive, and the phone offers a number of other useful keys, including browser and SMS shortcut keys, a Ctrl key, and page up/down keys. Other hardware perks include a 3.6-inch widescreen WVGA display, dual speakers and microphones for extra noise cancellation, and HTC Straight Talk for conference calling. (When I reviewed the Tilt 2’s unlocked twin brother, the Touch Pro 2, I wasn’t impressed with its 3.2-megapixel camera.)

The Tilt 2 is further enhanced with Windows Mobile 6.5, which is speedier and more touch-friendly than 6.1. It also runs HTC’s custom TouchFLO 3D user interface. I found the Touch Pro 2 with 6.1 sluggish on certain applications, but hopefully 6.5 improves the phone’s performance.
{image1}
The Blackberry Bold 9700 for AT&T has still not been released. But from the pictures that have leaked out and the little information that we could gather from various sources, this is what the Blackberry Bold 9700 has in store for you. The first thing worth mentioning about the Blackberry Bold 9700 is its name. There has been much confusion regarding the model number and the name of this phone. The Blackberry Bold 9700 is also known as the Onyx or the Blackberry Bold 2. So don't get confused if you are looking for the Blackberry Bold 9700 and land up on a page that reviews the Blackberry Bold 2 or the Blackberry Onyx.

The Blackberry Bold 9700 is a delicious black phone with features that are likely to impress you like the other Blackberries. The phone is otherwise sleek apart from the leather covering at the back which makes it appear a little bulky. Although the leather covering may seem like an added weight to the phone, it actually proves to be very useful. It prevents your phone from getting all the ugly scratches from being kept on the table. It also enhances the grip on the phone making handling the Blackberry Bold 9700 a very simple job. The leather casing is also another trademark of its predecessor, the Blackberry Bold. The basic design of the Blackberry Bold 9700 will in fact, remain the same as that of the Blackberry Bold. There will a few changes however. The major one includes the screen resolution which will increase from the earlier 480 by 397000 pixels to 480 by 360 pixels. The size of the Blackberry Bold 9700 is almost the same as that of its predecessor.

The similarities between the Blackberry Bold 9700 and the Blackberry Bold go beyond just looks and the exterior. The features too, are quite similar. The striking differences are few. A major difference is that the trackball has bee replaced by the optical track pad in the Blackberry Bold 9700. In addition to that, the battery cover has been changed and is said to have bee replaced by one that is an improvement on the earlier one. The memory card in the Blackberry Bold was on the side which has been altered and the memory card is now at the behind the battery cover. A problem with the Blackberry Bold was that the mute and the lock buttons were at the bottom which proved to be major disability of the phone. This has been rectified and the buttons are at the top in the Blackberry Bold 9700. The battery life is rumored to have improved greatly and is now much better than it was in the Blackberry Bold. The Blackberry Bold 9700 also has a flash memory of 256 MB which is another change from the previous 197008 MB which was native.

Overall, the Blackberry Bold 9700 is a great improvement on the earlier model and is tentatively set to release in the winters of 2009. Till then keep your fingers crossed and be ready to grab the phone as soon as it hits the market.

1 Vote(s)

{image1}
The Blackberry Storm 2 is a vast improvement on its predecessor, the Blackberry Storm. There are many minor changes that have been made in this phone which add up to produce cumulative result that is much better than the Blackberry Storm. This goes to show that little changes can make a major difference. The Blackberry Storm 2 is what a carefully designed Blackberry Storm should have been. Nonetheless, with the Blackberry Storm 2 coming in the market pretty soon most of you will forget the flaws that the Blackberry Storm had. The Blackberry Storm 2 has a revamped exterior that makes the phone look a lot less bulky and gives it a smooth and uninterrupted feel. The glossy black exterior makes it suitable for corporate as well as personal use. The Blackberry Storm 2 is rumored to also have been named as the Odin and the model number is now confirmed to be 9550.

The minor changes that have been made in the Blackberry Storm 2 that make a major difference are quite a few. However the phone’s size still remains the same at dimensions of 112 x 62 x 14mm. One major change that we can visually detect in the Blackberry Storm 2 is the screen. The normal screen has been replaced with a touch screen and the physical buttons have also been done away with and in their place you have the smart, easy to use virtual buttons. The buttons on the side that were too elevated and were a constant source of irritation in the Blackberry Storm has now been replaced by smoother buttons that are more comfortable to feel. Another great detail that has been looked into and dealt with very well is the joints. They are now as smooth as never before and are absolutely glorious to touch. The best part is you can’t even feel that they are there! This also enhances the grip on the phone and makes it a pleasure to hold rather than an added responsibility.

The buttons on the touch screen have been replaced to bring in more user-friendly realistic buttons that display whatever you choose on the phone’s screen. Although you still have to press the button twice to actually activate the program, this is a feature that was intentionally retained. This is a feature of the SurePress technology which although did not receive very good reviews with the last Blackberry is still incorporated in this one. This is because according to the manufacturers this technique has more pros to its name than cons. The size and the resolution of the screen, however, still remain the same as in the Blackberry Storm. The size is 3.25 inches with a resolution of 480 by 320 pixels. The screen is also rumored to not depress when the phone is either locked or is switched off.

Overall, the Blackberry Storm 2 is a major improvement on the Blackberry Storm due to the minor changes that have been incorporated in to it by the manufacturers. The phone is said to release in around the second week of November, tentatively o the 11th.

1 Vote(s)

{image1}
The Samsung Moment is another Android phone that has been designed by Samsung but this time for Sprint. The Samsung Moment is a black slider with a QWERTY keypad that slides out from the side. The primary screen is a full touch 3.2 inch AMOLED. However, do not worry as you are provided with some basic physical controls as well for those of you wary of a full touch phone. The design although pretty stylish and corporate feels a little bulky. Also, there is a hint of a plastic like feel to it which is not a great thing for such a hi-tech phone like the Samsung Moment. All the information that we have about this Android phone was spilled out accidentally by Samsung in a press conference about a completely different product. We do know that the release date for the Samsung Moment has been finalized and is the 1st of November.

Apart from the AMOLED screen which makes images look brighter and sharper there are many other features that will definitely not disappoint you. The screen itself is so designed that it makes pictures appear clear and vibrant irrespective of the angle of viewing. The phone also comes with an optical joystick and 3G connectivity which is a boon to mobile internet users. 3G is the most trusted amongst all others and provides great surfing and downloading speed. The other great thing about this Android phone is that all the Google applications are easily accessible from the Samsung Moment. These include Google Maps, YouTube, Google Search and Gmail. So this means that the Samsung Moment is the perfect phone for those who like to stay connected even while on the go. In addition to this, the phone also packs in all the games, applications and widgets that are provided by the Android systems.

Wi Fi and GPS are also included in this multi faceted phone. The GPS system is the best with access to all corners of the world. You can keep track of where you friends are and know about their exact locations at particular times of the day. You can also use the directions provided to reach their location in no time at all. The directions are accurate and simple and do not confuse you at all even if you are new to the place. There is a 3.2 mega pixel camera that takes brilliant pictures as well as a camcorder, which records without the slightest of hitches. Apart from that there is also an accelerometer and stereo Bluetooth. With the Samsung Moment you can also directly access the social networking sites like Twitter, Flickr and Facebook.

The Samsung Moment also includes a 2GB micro SD slot and the memory can be expanded to up to 32 GB. The phone also has gotten rid the old proprietary jack and adopted the new 3.5 mm jack that is more convenient to use. The battery backup is great giving a maximum of 5.5 hours of talk time. So basically the Samsung Moment is a near perfect phone with slight minor flaws that can easily be overlooked.

1 Vote(s)

{image1}
The Sony Ericsson Yari is all about the motion control gaming. From the desktop screen, users get a carousel of games loaded onto the phone. It's a quick way to jump right into the gaming features. This is the sort of simple interface tweak that we like to see on specialized phones. Unfortunately, once we started jumping into the games, we were somewhat less impressed.

To test the motion sensitive gaming, company reps showed us a bowling game that comes loaded onto the Sony Ericsson Yari. Basically, you swing the phone like a bowling ball and the motion affects the onscreen game. We've seen similar games on other smartphones, and not just the Apple iPhone, but also the Sony Ericsson W995 that we reviewed recently. In our hands-on look, we didn't see any games that were terribly impressive, at least not graphically speaking. Hopefully, the gesture controls will be responsive and intuitive, and some fun gameplay could make up for a lack of graphical prowess. Besides the motion sensitivity, the Sony Ericsson Yari will also get a couple extra buttons for games.

1 Vote(s)

First spotted in August, the Samsung InstinctQ M900 has just passed FCC approvals so it will most likely to be released in the coming months or perhaps rumors that it will be released in October could be true. But anyway, it still remains an unannounced handset, but with its FCC passing, Samsung should launch this anytime soon. According to FCC documents, this M900 will have support for CDMA/EV-DO connectivity, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

This is also believed to be another Android-powered smartphone from Samsung, though we still need to confirm it. It obviously has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and with its large screen, it will definitely have a touch-sensitive display. This is as well believed to come under Sprint carrier, given that it has Sprint labelling on top. Now if everything is true, then this will be Sprint’s second Android device, next to the HTC Hero, and will be the fourth Instinct device from Samsung.

1 Vote(s)
