RAZR series of clamshell mobile phones were immensely popular few years back and the feedback from avid smartphone users across the world has been nothing short of fantastic. Motorola RAZR is back with a bang featuring head-turning design and life-changing features. Designed for people who appreciate exceptional design and sexy curves, the impossibly thin and lightweight 4G LTE smartphone offered exclusively from Verizon Wireless exudes style, power and performance.

Featuring the best technology available today, the jaw-dropping new Motorola RAZR dazzles by the outside with sculpted glass face, diamond-cut aluminum accents and hyper-saturated 4.3” Super AMOLED Advanced capacitive touchscreen (540×960 pixel resolution) display. Made from KEVLAR fiber at the back for strength and Corning Gorilla Glass with splash-guard coating at the front for scratch resistance, this smartphone is meant for those with demanding lifestyle. For your information, Motorola RAZR also one of the thinnest phones at just 7.1mm (against Galaxy Nexus’s 8.9mm and iPhone 4S’s 9.3mm thickness).

Powered by Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread (upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich), dual core 1.2 GHz processor, 1GB RAM and Verizon 4G LTE, this powerful combination ignites lightning-fast user interface and the power to multitask like never before. The user friendly interface enable people to navigate through the smartphone easily and get to their favourite content faster.
The Droid RAZR enables users to browse the internet 10 times faster than 3G. Besides providing heart pounding speed, the Motorola Droid RAZR comes with 4.3 inch hyper vibrant display with more colors than most LCD HDTVs. The Super AMOLED Advanced display with qHD (960 x 540 pixel) resolution delivers vibrant images and smooth action so streaming movies are not blur. It is also the first smartphone capable of streaming movies and TV shows through Netflix with up to HD resolution. Users can also record life moments using the cinematic-quality front-facing 720p video camera and 8MP rear-facing camera with even sharper 1080p HD video capture to create their own movies. There is also a Backside-Illuminated Sensor (BSI-2) that helps in capturing better quality images in poor lighting conditions. With all these immaculate specs, RAZR could pose a serious threat to the iPhone 4S.

Motorola Atrix 4G represents a significant milestone in technological advancement and innovations. The world’s most powerful smartphone to date comes with immaculate specs like Nvidia Tegra 2 processor which brings extreme multitasking with the first mobile dual-core CPU, the best mobile Web experience with up to two times faster browsing, hardware accelerated Flash, and console-quality gaming without draining the battery as well as 1GB of RAM for to enable seamless multitasking and less judder. The screen beats the title of the highest resolution screen from iPhone 4 with its qHD pixel count stuffed into a 4 inch (900×540) display. The qHD display makes it easy to read indoors and outdoors and ranks close to the Super AMOLED displays that have made Samsung’s Galaxy S series popular. On top of that, we have 16Gb of internal storage and microSD support up to 32GB of extra space.

Just like the recently launched Motorola touchscreen phones, the design of Motorola Atrix is averagely attractive being square and black. Full dimensions are 63.5mm wide x 117.75mm long x 10.95mm thin. The display takes a huge chunk of the front with the four front touch sensitive buttons as well as VGA front facing camera especially for video calling like Skype. On the back is of mottled carbon fibre, with an attractive sheen to provide a comfortable grip.

Although the screen is quite large, it fits well in the pocket and rests on the palm quite comfortably. Other elements on the phone include volume control and the power/lock button positioned at the back of the phone near the top. One distinctive feature available is the power/lock button also doubles as a slick fingerprint reader, which is an innovative and secure way to unlock your android phone. To unlock the phone, just swipe your finger instead of typing password on the screen. On the side of the phone, there is an HDMI-out slot and a MicroUSB opening.

Running on dual core, booting up applications, switching between tasks and generally doing anything on the device was lightening fast. In addition, the display is awesome in terms or colour and resolution. The impressive screen responded well and almost no latency even though running multiple apps and widgets simultaneously. Apps like Youtube, Angry Birds and Gmail seemed to load quickly and we had no problems getting Google Maps up and running with hefty map downloads in the blink of an eye. The media playback functionality is powerful, with 1080p MPEG4, H.264, WMV and Xvid/DivX all supported on the Motorola Atrix 4G.

Motorola Atrix has 2 cameras: a front-facing VGA and a 5 megapixel shooter with 592×1944 pixels, autofocus and LED flash at the back. Photos were crisp and bright, and snapping shots was actually quicker with this handset than on the Motorola Droid X, whose 8-megapixel camera suffers from some latency. You can also shoot 720p HD quality videos with the onboard video recorder and watch them on big screen using Atrix’s HDMI port.

Powered by Android 2.2 Froyo on board, an update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread is already in the works. Running on MotoBlur user interface, it includes re-sizable widgets, a number of home screens and social networking at the main screen. Motorola Atrix running Motorola’s “Webtop” software allows the phone to connect to a laptop dock or desktop dock and act like a real PC. In terms of internet surfing, Motorola Atrix is just excellent for those who does not like the hassle of taking out a laptop, yet able to do things like reading news and browsing Facebook. AT&T began selling Motorola’s Atrix 4G smartphone in February 2011 for $199.99.
