HTC has unveiled the latest affordable Android phone known as HTC Desire C which features average specs but has all the frequently used features. Although most of the HTC’s range of budget smartphones are usually compact size with displays under 3 inches, HTC Desire C is equipped with a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 360 resolution. Despite the case looks built from plastic, its actually using durable metal frame. Other specs of HTC Desire C include a 600MHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 5.0 megapixel camera module, aGPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 4GB of internal storage, microSD card support (up to 32GB) and a 1,230 mAh. We were surprised with the inclusion of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as well as HTC Sense 4.0 because most of the cheaper smartphones usually stick to the older Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Other notable features include Google’s Mobile Services, Beats Audio technology and 25GB of free Dropbox cloud storage. HTC Desire C will be launched in different markets beginning May 2012. The HTC Desire C is priced £169.99 without contract and will be available on Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile, Virgin Media, Three, O2, Phones4U, The Carphone Warehouse and Tesco Mobile in the UK.
