Hello Kitty Malaysia
Located at Puteri Harbour Theme Park, Nusajaya, Johor Bahru, the Sanrio Hello Kitty Malaysia promises an unforgettable experience for Hello Kitty fans with fun filled activities and not be missed stage performances.
We have been planning to visit Hello Kitty Town Malaysia since it opened in late 2012, but always been postponed due to our hectic schedule. Finally in July 2013, we decided to check out this Hello Kitty Malaysia after much coaxing from our kids.
Arrived at Senai Airport, Johor after about an hour flight from Penang International Airport. Proceeded to the taxi counter at the airport, and purchased coupon to Grand Sentosa Hotel in Johor Bahru for RM45. The duration taken to travel between Senai Airport and JB City Centre is about 45 minutes.
The friendly hotel receptionist handed over to us the Hello Kitty Town and Legoland tickets from our travel agent. The package was purchased through MyDeal.com.my for 3D2N stay in Grand Sentosa Hotel, 2 adult Legoland Malaysia tickets and Hello Kitty Town + Little Big Club tickets for only RM598.
This package is quite worth it because from what I found out, the price for Adult pass to Legoland is RM120 and the Adult pass to 2 Parks (Hello Kitty Town + Little Big Club) is RM85. Furthermore, Grand Sentosa Hotel is conveniently located inside Plaza Sentosa (right in the heart of Johor Bahru) with a lot of eateries and convenience shops outside.
For Malaysian identity cardholders(with MyKad), the Hello Kitty Malaysia ticket price for adult/children is RM55. Ticket prices for both Sanrio Hello Kitty Town and The Little Big Club is RM85. Entrance is free for kids under 3 years old.
The journey to Hello Kitty Johor Bahru took about 30 minutes from JB City Centre (taxi fare was RM26). The Hello Kitty Malaysia opening hours are from 10.00 am to 5.30 pm. The Hello Kitty Town is open daily, but closed on Tuesday except during Malaysian and Singaporean public holidays/ school holidays.
By the way, the nearest hotel to Hello Kitty JB is the newly opened Traders Hotel which is located next to the Puteri Harbour Family Theme Park. The price of the room is about RM400 which is quite worth it considering it is a 4 star hotel. When we arrived there, we straight away went into Hello Kitty JB to explore the place.
Hello Kitty Johor Bahru
Each of us were given an Activity Card with tasks to complete. There will be many interesting things for kids and parents to participate together such as jewelry making, hello kitty cookie decorating, nail painting and dress up in Hello Kitty costume at Wishful Studio. For every tasks completed, you will get a stamp.
Puteri Harbour Theme Park consists of a 4 storey building. Ticket counter, Red Bow Café and a Souvenir Store is located at the ground floor. Hello Kitty Johor is located at Level 1 of Puteri Harbour Theme Park. Little Big Club is located at Level 2 and 3. Here’s my kids posing in front of the attractively lighted love shape entrance to the Sanrio Hello Kitty Town.
One of the first things that you notice as you enter the entrance is the Tea Cups Ride on your left. I’m sure the kids will enjoy spinning in the Tea Cups although it might be a bit crammed for adults. You can also turn the circular plate at the center if you wish to increase the spinning..hehe.
Beside the Tea Cups Ride is the Dream Photo Garden. We were fortunate to be able to take picture with the Hello Kitty Mascot. There is also a photographer to assist you taking photos and later you can check it out if you wish to purchase the photo & frame from the Kawaii Photo Center.
We proceeded towards the Hello Kitty House which is completely designed with Hello Kitty furniture and accessories in living room, wardrobe and bedroom, bathroom and kitchen.
Hello Kitty Computer
Blue themed Hello Kitty bathroom with Hello Kitty shaped bath tub.
Hello? Who’s speaking please?
Hello Kitty Kitchen. Absolutely love the design of the kitchen and all the nice cutleries.
Hello Kitty Bedroom complete with Hello Kitty soft toys for you to cuddle.
Dance in tune with Hello Kitty and Friends in the Purrfect Stage where they will showcase a live performance. The mini show title is “Hello Kitty Heartful Journey”.
In jewelry making, each one is given a silver necklace. The pendant comes in a variety of designs including butterfly, tortoise, etc. However, we were disappointed that we were not given a Hello Kitty pendant.
Very cute dressed up in Hello Kitty costume.
At the Cookie Studio, visitors can decorate the Hello Kitty cookie with jam/chocolate syrup and eat it. The cookie tasted absolutely yummy!
We were given a variety of colors to choose from for the nail polisher. See Yi Jie’s beautiful nails!
Friendship Land is a a padded playscape where visitors can enjoy playing with soft balls and pumps. The game plan is pretty simple, just pick up and insert all the balls into the holes in the pumps and when the timer expires, the balls will fly out from the pumps. Other than that, they can use the shooter to randomly shoot the balls. Interesting game to keep kids occupied while adults have a rest.
Over at the far end is the Black Wonder where visitors need to solve a series of puzzles to rescue Hello Kitty who has been kidnapped and trapped within a medieval castle.
Before you exit the Hello Kitty Theme Park and & Little Big Club, consider buying a souvenir. A trip to Johor is not complete without a day of fun at Hello Kitty Town Malaysia!
By the way, Puteri Harbour Family Theme Park is currently running a promotion where visitors can now enjoy two-park passes(Hello Kitty Town Malaysia & Little Big Club) for the price of RM55 instead of RM85. This promotion is valid from 10 July 2013 to 6 August 2013.
