BlackBerry Curve 9220: Integrated Social Networking Functions

RIM announced the latest social centric smartphone, the stylish BlackBerry Curve 9220 which comes with easy to use interface and also offers long lasting battery, allowing users to make the most of their day. Users can get up to 7 hours of talk time or up to 28 hours of music playback. Offering the best keyboards in class, users can quickly and easily type and fire up popular mobile social network immediately with the dedicated BBM key. Curve 9220 is powered by BlackBerry 7.1 OS and features Parental Control, which restricts children to access certain functions, features and applications. Mobile Hotspot support is also featured in Curve 9220.

Using the preloaded apps for Facebook and Twitter, users can easily interact with their social network in real time. On top of that, the latest Social Feeds 2.0 app is included so that users can post updates to multiple social networks at the same time and streamline updates from news sources(RSS), instant messaging and social apps all in an integrated view. Curve 9220 also boasts an integrated camera with flash and supports video recording. Thanks to the built in GPS, pictures taken with the Curve 9320 can be tagged with user’s location. Essentially, Curve 9220 is pretty well equipped despite targeted to the entry- and low-mid level market segments.
